Fence for Food

Club members Austin and Kimball Brooksby competed in their first tournament on January 2nd. The tournament “Will Fence for Food” was the 6th annual food drive held in Park City and sponsored by the Park City Fencing Academy. Fencers from all across the state were represented. Austin age 13 fought bravely in the adult category with fencers two and three times his age and one opponent who was literally 3 feet taller than him. He won his 3rd match and brought home an excellent collection of bruises, sore muscles and an undefeated spirit. Kimball age 10 was fearless and won a medal in the youth event. Both Kimball and Austin made their parents and couch very proud. After the match Coach Galima said “We expect many more great victories out of both of them.” Awesome job, guys!
